Just imagine how much destruction this would have caused, how many lives would've gone, a major catastrophe it would've been.
The document under light mentioned the breakup of two Mark 39 hydrogen bombs being carried on a B-52 on January 23,1961 mid-air over North Carolina.

Investigative journalist Eric Schlosser who obtained the document, said "The US government has consistently tried to withhold information from the American people in order to prevent questions being asked about our nuclear weapons policy. We were told there was no possibility of these weapons accidentally detonating, yet here's one that very nearly did."

Microsoft Surface being rebooted?

So I heard an invite was sent to the media recently by Microsoft for a launch event for tomorrow(23/09), and I'm expecting a better and improved versions of the Surface and Surface Pro tablets to be unveiled. Much has been said about the Surface and Surface Pro having their considerable share of cons. Due to embarrassing sales figures in the past, Microsoft will be hoping to turn things around with something fresh, something new.

Cure for Dengue found?

Preliminary trials conducted by a group of Indian scientists working at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology(ICGEB) have yielded positive results and this has provided hope that a cure for Dengue may be on its way. A non-infectious vaccine has been developed using Yeast

As you all know, the search for a cure has been going on for over two decades but a cure was never found. Now, this group of scientists discovered virus-like particles which provide "robust immunity" against the vector borne disease that has affected people in more than 100 countries. Stay tuned for updates on the cure!

No life on Mars? What?!

So, in the latest of discoveries by NASA's very own Curiosity rover, absence of Methane, as a result of no sign of it's detection could simply mean that Mars never supported life forms of any type. Initial reports suggested there were signs of the gas but the Rover has not picked up anything.
So, I guess there are no aliens ;)

But this is science, so you can never be sure. Stay Tuned!

Ice, ice, where art thou?

It's getting hotter. No, I mean, literally, it is. The temperatures are rising and i'm sure you already are aware of the phenomenon that is eventually gonna kill our planet, Global Warming. So in this latest post, I wanted you to see real and up-to-date proof of how this phenomenon is reducing the ice in the Arctic. Possible to imagine the Arctic without ice? NAH.
The annual mean ice extent since 1979 has reduced by 4% per decade. Shocking huh?

How bad is the "BlackBerry" situation?

BlackBerry is cutting more jobs. Yes, it's happening. The Canadian smartphone maker is anticipating a loss of $995mn when the second quarter results will be out this week.
Approximately 4500 jobs, that is 40% of its workforce will be cut. This was somewhat expected seeing how poorly the company was performing and its back to back efforts to jump back, failing, such as the Z10 model smartphone.
BBM is now almost officially available on three platforms and if it is any consolation, it possibly being a success could help the save the company.

Bad News for BB fans: A possible sale of the company is being evaluated as an option :/

Football Updates

FC Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the season with a 4-0 win away against Rayo Vallecano. Messi and Neymar both played important roles in the win.

In England, Liverpool were defeated 0-1 by Southampton and Chelsea won 2-0 at home against Fulham after a disappointing midweek Champions League defeat to Basel.
The Manchester Derby will take place today at the Etihad stadium at 1500 GMT.

In Germany, Bayern Munich won in a 4-0 win away at Schalke and Dortmund were held to a 1-1 draw by Nurnberg. This means that both Bayern and Dortmund are now level with 16 points and coincidentally having the same goal difference too(11).

TV: How I Met Your Mother (The Last Chapter) and The Big Bang Theory (Back with a Bang!)

In the age where movies make way more money than TV shows do, it'd be injustice to say that TV hasn't been as amazing as movies. I'm talking about the very popular and HIT TV shows How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory which are into their NINTH and SEVENTH seasons respectively. Sadly for the HIMYM fans, this would be the last chapter. HIMYM's previous season ended with the mother FINALLY  being revealed(yes, after 8 years!) and it'll be interesting to see how to mixes up with the gang in the final season. The HIT comedy show, The Big Bang Theory has always managed to let us fans end up in ROFL situations (sometimes even literally!) as we see geekiness mix up humor creating the perfect laughter experience.

Tune in for the season premieres for both shows on September 23(How I Met Your Mother) and September 26(The Big Bang Theory), only on CBS!

iPhone 5S - Will it surpass 5 million units this weekend?

So there's been all this hype about the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. Yes, focusing on the former, it IS pretty good. I was definitely NOT disappointed. But, the question is, will it repeat the success that its predecessor had last year?
Maybe. Why so? Large lines of excited customers were to be seen in front of Apple stores everywhere including New York and San Francisco! The question is this: can the new iPhone beat the record sales of 5 million units at the end of the first weekend? I can't be too sure, but the Apple will reveal the figures come Monday. So if you're an Apple fan, stay tuned to Daily Reactions!

BBM finally arrives iOS, Android users will have to wait!

So the day has finally come. BlackBerry announced the availability of its very own BBM application in India, initially limited to New Zealand. The whereabouts of the Android version are completely unknown. The official app isn't out yet, but it appears that a "leaked" version has made its way through to many users. BlackBerry has not given any official statement on when BBM will arrive on the Play Store. Till then, stay tuned!

P.S. Do not download the fake versions available on the play store currently.
